The Caderno da Escola de Saúde do UniBrasil is a biannual publication of a technical-scientific nature, which aims to contribute to the dissemination of works in the areas of Biological and Health Sciences. Edited by the Centro Universitário Autônomo do Brasil of the Complexo de Ensino Superior do Brasil – UniBrasil, whose mission is to "Form, through sustainable processes, people who can assume the fullness of the human condition, through the generation and experimentation of knowledge, ideas and values ​​committed to the Brazilian reality."

In this issue, the journal Cadernos de Saúde UniBrasil reaffirms its commitment to the dissemination of scientific knowledge and to the strengthening of academic production in the field of health sciences. The articles presented reflect the diversity of themes, social relevance, and methodological rigor that characterize research developed within the health sciences, contributing significantly to the qualification of professional practice and to scientific advancement.

The published articles address contemporary and essential issues in healthcare, with particular emphasis on integrative reviews that synthesize current scientific evidence and support evidence-based decision-making. The study “Nursing care in the prevention of pressure injuries related to surgical positioning: an integrative review” discusses essential care practices for patient safety in the perioperative context, emphasizing the role of nursing in preventing adverse events. The article “Study on the prevalence of paracetamol use among the community of a university center in Curitiba, Paraná” analyzes the consumption of one of the most widely used analgesics, offering important reflections on the rational use of medications in the academic environment.

This issue also includes investigations focused on the interface between physical and mental health. The article “The influence of the intestinal microbiota on the regulation of neurotransmitters and its impact on depression: an integrative literature review” presents evidence highlighting the complexity of the gut–brain axis and its implications for understanding and managing depressive disorders. Complementing this multidisciplinary approach, the study “The role of physiotherapy in the postoperative period of mastectomy: an integrative literature review” emphasizes the importance of physiotherapeutic intervention in functional rehabilitation, prevention of complications, and improvement of quality of life for patients undergoing this procedure.
