CUIDADOS DE ENFERMAGEM NA PREVENÇÃO DE LESÃO POR PRESSÃO RELACIONADA AO POSICIONAMENTO CIRÚRGICO: REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA Lesão por pressão no posicionamento cirúrgico

Abstract
Objective: To describe perioperative nursing care in the prevention of injuries related to surgical positioning. Methodology: Integrative review in six steps. The data search was conducted in October 2023, in the Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences, Spanish Bibliographic Index in Health Sciences, and Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online, through the Virtual Health Library. The inclusion criteria were materials published between 2018 and 2022, in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, available in full text. Materials that did not contain the words “pressure injury” or “surgical positioning injury” and “patient positioning” or “surgical positioning” in the title and/or abstract and/or keywords of the article were excluded. Results: Eight articles were included, which highlighted the importance of applying risk assessment scales and using support surfaces to prevent injuries related to surgical positioning. Final considerations: It is important that the assessment scales and support surfaces available in health services be applied to patients of different ages, with or without comorbidities, and from different surgical specialties, to promote improvements in care and prevent pressure injuries related to surgical positioning.
