NANDA-I NURSING DIAGNOSES IN PEOPLE WITH NEUROLOGICAL DISORDERS AS ASSOCIATED CONDITIONS A DOCUMENT ANALYSIS

Abstract
Objective: To identify North American Nursing Diagnosis Association – Internacional (NANDA-I) nursing diagnoses that include neurological disorders as associated conditions. Method: A bibliometric review based on an analysis of the NANDA-I taxonomy. Nursing diagnoses presenting neurological disorders as an associated condition were included through a systemic review. Results: The analysis identified 10 diagnoses; Domain 11 and Class 2 were predominant, highlighting a focus on the safety and protection of patients with neurological disorders. The most frequent diagnoses were problem-focused; no health promotion diagnoses were recorded, underscoring this group's vulnerability and the need for interventions aimed at preventing harm. Final considerations: Correctly identifying these diagnoses is crucial to preventing complications and ensuring appropriate care; furthermore, future research should expand on and validate these findings in clinical practice.
